Directly across the street you'll find your hosts amids a one stop shopping experience. "Everything from Soup to Nuts" Agnew's store has it all. A full line hardware store, clothing and gifts, ice cream shop, garden centre, convenience groceries, geocaching supplies and even a full service post office.
The grocery store, bank and LCBO/Beer store are all very close and just up the road you'll find a library and a school.
Look to your right for the restuarant, gas station, bait shop and pharmacy. Walking to your left will take you to the church, the First Cross Outpost Hospital Museum and the closest public dock.
You're only a two minute walk to the playgound and park with the ball diamond, tennis courts and basketball courts. The community centre, curling club and arena are all right there too! Watch a few ends at the curling club or join a bonspeil.
You can public skate for free at the arena on Sundays from 12:30 to 2pm during the winter or rent an hour for yourselves. Summer brings ball hockey and roller skating.
Even the Royal Canadian Legion is within walking distance. It's little farther up the road but well worth it for a game of pool and a cold beer!
Being in the middle of the Geocaching Capital of Canada, you can be sure to find many caches within walking distance including a few very cool night caches!
The quiet, dead end road to the dam
is a great place to stroll after supper
and there's a great cache there!
